Hosted by Historic New England
Built in 1793 and set on thirty-seven acres of land, the Lyman Estate, also known as “The Vale,” represents one of the earliest and finest examples of eighteenth-century, English-style country estates in the United States. Its form, fabric, and spirit reflect the taste of five generations of the Lyman family. Travel through time as you take a virtual “room by room” tour of this architectural gem, with its mix of authentic Federal, Victorian, and Colonial Revival styles.
This virtual progarm supports the Lyman Library Preservation Project. Donations are welcome.
