Ever wonder what the round brick building on South Main Street was built for? How it was used? Join Roger Reed, historian at the National Register of Historic Places, Benjamin Wilson, state historic preservation officer, preservation consultant Elizabeth Durfee Hengen, and architectural historian James Garvin for this free presentation with Q&A.
By the end of the year, Liberty Utilities, the building’s owner, plans to secure a demolition permit for the 1888 structure, and the Preservation Alliance is working with the utility and the City of Concord to find a redevelopment solution which benefits the city, region and nation.
Register by emailing projects@nhpreservation.org with “Gasholder” in the subject line, or call 603-224-2281. Zoom link will be sent with confirmation.
Note second session on redevelopment options for the gasholder building on November 5.
