Join the New Hampshire Preservation Alliance and Sanborn Mills Farm on May 14, 2022 for our Old Building & Trades Fair in Loudon.

This day-long event will provide opportunities to observe traditional tradespeople in action, to ask questions, and connect with trades organizations and experts who can help you understand the issues faced by stewards of older buildings. Demonstrations will include carpentry and timber-framing, window-making and repair, masonry repointing, stone wall building, plasterwork and repair, and more! Gain information and inspiration for your old building projects by speaking to an “Old House Doctor”! “Doctors” will be available to answer your old house and barn questions throughout the day.

Sanborn Mills Farm, dating from the 19th century, boasts now-rare and extraordinary working mills and farming features that were once commonplace in New England communities. New gardens and solar installations offer present-day interpretations of two centuries of commitment to sustainability and innovation at the farm.

Ticket prices:

General Admission: $20.00
Students and Seniors: $12.00

This event is free for children 12 and under.

Please note, the event will be held rain or shine.  This is a working farm and the ground conditions require appropriate footwear. Drinks and food will be available for purchase from Friends 4 OBA food truck.
