Join us for a Zoom presentation to learn about “blue-ribbon” strategies for rural historic preservation community development projects.
Panelists from four small Northern Forest communities in New Hampshire, New York, Vermont and Maine will discuss elements of successful projects including: strategies for how to plan projects, secure needed human and financial resources, explore collaborations with arts, child care, housing and other interests, and measure and sustain positive progress and community impacts over time. Emphasis on how to position projects for community development funding. Useful whether you’re just starting out, or need a dose of inspiration!
Project leaders sharing their insights will include: Patrick Myers, Center Theatre, Dover/Foxcroft, Maine; Laurel Will, Northern Forest Center for the Parker J. Noyes project, Lancaster, New Hampshire; Isaac Wagner of Wagner Development Partners for the Bridgewater Community Center, Bridgewater, Vermont; and Andy Buchanan, Whitcomb’s Garage, Wallonsburg, New York. Jenna Lapachinski who provides field services for the Preservation Trust of Vermont will facilitate the session.
Presented by the N.H. Preservation Alliance, Maine Preservation, Preservation Trust of Vermont and Preservation League of New York State. We'll be drawing from our experience with our four-state grant program generously funded by the Northern Border Regional Commission.
