2025 Grant Opportunities Available through The 1772 Foundation
Historic Preservation Matching Grant Opportunity for Private Non-Profit Organizations Announced by the New Hampshire Preservation Alliance and The 1772 Foundation
The New Hampshire Preservation Alliance and The 1772 Foundation have announced that 1:1 matching grants of up to $10,000 are available for historic preservation projects.

Eligible projects include: exterior painting, finishes and surface restoration; upgrades to/installation of fire detection; lightning protection and security systems; repairs to/restoration of porches, roofs and windows; structural foundation and sill repair/replacement and chimney and masonry repointing.
Grants over the last five years have supported 74 rehabilitation and restoration projects for a variety of community landmark buildings throughout the state. The New Hampshire Preservation Alliance strengthens communities and stimulates local economies by encouraging the protection and revival of historic buildings and places.
How to Apply
Grants will be distributed in 2025 but the first stage of the application process is now open. To be eligible, organizations must have a 501(c)(3) IRS designation and own, or have a long-term lease, on the building. For additional details, read the full announcement below.
